Tuesday Coffee Chat: Boring

Rory Bore at Ink Interrupted hosts the Tuesday Coffee Chat, and this week she asks the question, What are you bored of?  Has something reached it's 15 minutes and needs to just go?

Actually, i am bored of a lot of things, but they can't go.  It does get tedious cleaning cat boxes and doing laundry and all the myriad other things that have to be done every.blessed.day.  They cannot, however, be dispensed with easily, or at least not without some very dire consequences which i will leave to your imaginations.

There are a few things i'm bored of over which i have no control.  Excessively hot weather, excessively cold weather, and hurricanes are three right there on top.  If i could, i would banish them all and we'd have mild temperatures with just enough rain (or snow in the areas that do need it) to keep life on earth in balance, and hurricanes and tornadoes and cyclones and their ilk would not happen.

Some days i am bored of the same conversations over and over.  Yes, i know what iron you want me to buy this time.  You don't have to keep telling me about it, nor do you have to tell me for the 7th time that the old one leaks.  Yes, i know it leaks.  There will be a new one purchased on payday, please stop going on about the iron.

Right off hand i cannot think of any new trends of which i am bored, because i don't tend to follow new trends much.  Nor do i watch TV, so i'm not bored by it any more.

Very seldom am i actually bored.  There are always more books to read, more places to go, more work to be done than i can ever get to.

One thing i am not bored of is doing this every day.

  3. There are things we do that must get done. Sometimes I find them tedious, but they don't bore me. I'm rarely every bored. There are too many other wonderful things that I can do that takes care of that possibility.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  4. I do laundry in front of the TV and never get bored. I do get bored of exercise, even though I also do it in front of the TV!

  5. Boredom is in the mind. The fact that I almost died years ago, being bored means nothing to me. Getting up each morning and falling asleep at night tell me that life isn't boring even when it appears to be boring. I get up and walk around, go outside, check the flowers, go for a ride in my Camero, and etc. Life is never boring for me.

Have a great Tuesday my beautiful friend. See ya.

  6. Fortunately, I don't get bored very easily or often and can usually find a way to entertain myself or keep busy.

  7. I am a firm believer in the whistle while you work theory -- and by that I mean crank the tunes and just get 'er done. It's surprising how fast a task is completed when you are singing at the top of your lungs too. Ha.

But yeah, that stormy weather extremes can take a hike. No one is going to miss that.

  8. You know what's funny? The weather you described you would prefer is the weather we have here in the Pacific Northwest. ;)

I think sometimes boredom is a state of mind - or lack of interest in finding *something* to do (of which I never seem to run out of - that 'something' to do...heh!) So I'm right there with you on not getting bored and/or always doing something to boredom doesn't persist! :)
