Cue the Music and Show Your Spirit

"Mom, my friend Sam and I were talking, and guess what we decided?" Bigger Girl said the other day after visiting her friend Hugging Sam, the girl who claims her hugs can cure anything, and a lot of times they do.

Surprise me, i said, setting down the dish brush and getting ready to be amused.

"Well, we decided that a bayonet is nothing more than a clever way to take a knife to a gun fight, and mosquitoes are nothing but dirty needles that G-d gave wings to!"

That sounds about right! i said, not at all disappointed as my expectation of amusement was met.

"Now it's time for me to get busy -- music, I need a getting busy music montage, like in the movies, somebody cue the music!" Bigger Girl laughed as she ran up the stairs.

That, i thought, is my cue to get back to the dishes.

Linking up with Uncharted Blog and Six Sentence Stories, were the cue word is Cue.

Note to any who want to read the whole Djinn Story, there's now a link at the top of the page that will take you to it.
