Feline Friday: Guilty! and Friendly Fill-Ins

Feline Friday is hosted by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is..

1) post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (They may be silly or cute)

2) go to Steve's page, linked above, then on the menu bar click on the Feline Friday tab to get the code

3) paste the code under your cat picture

4) add your name and link

That’s all there is to it! Be sure to check back every so often and visit all the Feline Friday bloggers. Also, please leave a nice comment on their blogs. Nasty comments will be deleted!

When i arrived at the cat shelter this past Wednesday, there had been an incident.  Toy-icide had been committed, the remains all over the floor of the cage of a kitten named Skatters.

Toy mouse, unstuffed.  Note the rattle came out and broke open, good thing she didn't swallow the plastic balls.

She was not at all repentant, and would not cooperate with being photographed for the record.

No, I will not hold still for my mug shot!  I'm outta here!

No place to hide up here!

Maybe I can make a get away this way!

No escape hatch here, either.

Oh, well, at least she's behind bars where we can keep an eye on her!

I'm innocent, I tell ya!

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by McGuffy Ann Morris of McGuffy's Reader. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

My fill-ins for the statements are underlined:

Week 52: May 5, 2017

1. ___________________ landline.

2. My most treasured piece of jewelry is _________________________.

3. This year, I have learned ______________________.

4. I would like to _________________ before this year is over.

  1. As long as i had small kids at home, i had a landline.  Once they got old enough where everyone has a mobile and can (mostly) be counted on to know how to give directions to the emergency personnel, i decided it was an expense i could do without.

  1. My most treasured piece of jewelry is my wedding ring.  It's also just about my only one, and the only thing i wear consistently.

  1. This year, i have learned that there are some things i must do the moment i get home, before i sit to rest, or they will not get done.

  1. I would like to make a lot more progress with my Spanish lessons before this year is over.

  2. All cats are innocent until proven guilty. I'm sure someone planted the evidence and Scatter's was totally set up. Heck, I bet the dog did it! Best of luck with your Spanish lessons. I always wanted to learn another language but my hearing isn't the best making it difficult to understand the pronunciation of words. Speaking of which with it being Cinco de Mayo day I could handle some Mexican food. :p But, then I don't need a special day for that. I can eat it anytime! Have a good weekend, my friend!

  4. That kitten is so adorable, she looks a lot like my Angel KaChoo. Thank you for participating every week and helping to make the 1st year of fill-ins a success. I always enjoy your answers. I know what you mean about doing things before sitting down. I hope you get to continue with your Spanish lessons this year. Have a great weekend!

  7. What a rambunctious kitty! I'm the opposite with chores. I need an hour or so to rest in between them. Nat'l Hoagie Day? Cool!

  12. Skatters was just living up to her name, scattered that toy nicely around the cage!:-) She sure is a cutie!

You are so right about doing the important things when you get home before you sit down, that was true of me when I was working too, once I sat down I was pretty done for the nite. Your wedding ring is most important, so much more than just a piece of jewelry, that's all I wear most of the time too, and a pair of earrings from my Dad that I leave in all the time.

  13. How long have you been learning Spanish? In this part of Texas, we're surrounded by the Spanish language. We've been here 13 years almost and I still don't know how to speak it. However, I have picked up enough along the way to know when an underage person was going to try to buy beer. I made sure they got carded after I heard them say something about "veinte uno" (Google Translate's spelling).

Regarding "International Tuba Day", David played the tuba in high school. He has several funny stories about his adventures with the tuba. :)

    Have a blessed weekend!

  14. That's one spirited cat!

I haven't possessed a landline in the last 5 years...and rarely used one in the last decade or so...

  15. Cute kitty pictures. Many kids have never seen a landline. I was thinking the other day, I don't think any of our children have ever talked with a telephone operator. I guess Sara retired years ago.

  16. Oh, my gosh...you took a great series of kitten shots. She is adorable!
You remind me of me, sometimes. If I do not do things as soon as I get home, I cannot rest. I want it all done, then I can really collapse. HUGS!
