Zippy Zipping (Feline Friday) and Friendly Fill-Ins

Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the rules and the code.

Zippy is recovering from his bouts with digestive upset and it’s now almost impossible to get a picture of him.  He won’t hold still:

McGuffy's Reader

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by McGuffy Ann Morris of McGuffy's Reader. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

My fill-ins for the statements are underlined:

Week 80: November 17, 2017:

1. I can't wait to eat                       on Thanksgiving.

2. My favorite kind of pie is                                 .

3. This year, I am particularly thankful for                                    .

4. A funny holiday tradition in my/our house is                                   .

1. I can’t wait to eat fresh Brussels’ sprouts sautéed in olive oil on Thanksgiving.  (What else do you expect of a weirdo vegan?)

2. My favorite kind of pie is whatever i can find at a health food store that is vegan and sweetened only with fruit juice.  (See above.  Yes, i have an odd diet, it’s okay, they know me in my world and i’m fine here.)

3. This year, i am particularly thankful for our excellent veterinarians, Dr. Bea and Dr. Mel.  They do so much for us, and are willing to go above and beyond to help when we need them.

4. A funny holiday tradition in our house is the hello/goodbye hug.  When someone new arrives at the house, everyone gets a hug from everyone, even those who were already there.  When it’s time to go home, everyone hugs everyone, even the ones they are going home with.  It’s funny if you are not used to it and confusing until you figure out that you are just supposed to hug everyone every time there are hugs going around.

  3. Mimi,

Poor Zippy! I understand digestion issues all too well. Saying prayers he's well soon. We always hug family when we arrive and leave but not each other. That's an interesting tradition that sounds rather fun. I'm glad I don't have a special diet, other than to try not stuff myself. Over the years I learned how to not over eat but even cutting back, it's still a bit much because I'm not used to eating a big meal plus dessert. I like waiting to have pie but DH is like, "Can we have pie now?" Have a joyful, blessed Thanksgiving, my friend!

  4. Oh, Zippy is cute! Cute name, too. Of course, most kittens are zippy! We cook our brussel sprouts that way! YUM.
We do the hug thing, too! I never thought it as weird...maybe it is. No...you do it, too. I am a hugger! It looks like you are, too. HUGS!

  5. Zippy is adorable and the name suits him. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I love brussel sprouts, we grow our own and they are especially good after the frost hits them. I am glad you are able to find a vegan pie. I love your tradition, that is so sweet. Have a nice weekend! XO

  8. Zippy says that he is just a kitten, so he is supposed to be moving all the time until it is time to collapse into a deep sleep. You all have a fantastic weekend.

  9. Do you make exceptions for the hug-avoidant?
    (I'm asking for a friend...)
